This morning I am linking up with
Rebecca Brooks' Mornings with Mary at her
recuerda mi corazon website. I am sharing images of several Virgen de Guadalupe images that I photographed at two of the most popular shrines in Northern New Mexico. The first is El Sanctuario de Chimayo, built in 1813, and located north of Santa Fe along the High Road to Taos. The second site is El Sanctuario de Guadalupe Church, built in 1781, and located in the historic Guadalupe district of Santa Fe.
If Our Lady of Guadalupe is your passion, you may consider traveling to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with Rebecca, and me, on her Loving Lupita journey, December 10-19, 2013.
Exciting and beautiful photos of sweet Mary,Laurie. Thank you. gloria
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Monday
ReplyDeletemuch love...
I have seen these shrines in New Mexico....very sacred. I love Chimayo and Santa Fe. Also love San Miguel de Allende, have a beautiful trip.
ReplyDeleteWhile the beauty of the Virgins here is undeniable, the unusual b/w & sepia hues of the last are remarkable, unexpected, and truly outstanding.
ReplyDeletedear laurie,
ReplyDeletei am breathless with the beauty of mary! it is a dream come true after all these years of sharing our love for all things mexico and of course lupita, to finally be able to walk the cobblestones together!
dreams do come true!
The stained glass photo is breathtaking. All beautiful but that one was exciting to see for me.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to imagine so many shrines in one place - that is why I have to go and see for myself and thus my love for pilgrimages were born - and San Miguel de Allende is at the top of the list that never shrinks, despite my many trips!!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I love love love the Guadalupe photos! Thank you for taking them and posting them. I'd love to be on the trip with you, but have a grandchild due December 18th ....
