Laurie Beth Zuckerman's photo of Guadalupe painting in the Guadalupe Church in Taos, New Mexico In honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe's feast day, today, December 12, Laurie Beth Zuckerman is posting these diverse Virgin of Guadalupe images from New Mexico. December 12 is also my birthday, and I am always so honored to share my birthday with the Guadalupe, although she is a lot older than me. She appeared in 1531, and I didn't appear until 1951!! And she is so much more famous and well-clothed. The stained glass window and the brown and white painting are both from the Guadalupe church in Taos, while the other two images are from the historic pilgrimage site of El Santuario de Chimayo, north of Santa Fe, along the High Road leading to Taos. This is Day 12 of "A Virgin a Day" hosted by Rebecca Brooks. Very special!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday and may I thank you fro sharing your photos, they are quite glorious! Today the second one is on fire!
Since you voluntarily told us the year of your birth, I get a sense of satisfaction as I am not old enough to be your father, yet I envision myself as much older than all of you fair maidens on the blogrolls.
I love the Guadalupe photos presented here. I have been to that church in Taos as it is one of my stops often as I travel to New Mexico. You display it so well here.
Thanks for sharing your birthday with us. I hope you have a wonderful day and every day hereafter.
Much Peace
Laurie,
Happy birthday! What an honor to share the day with Our Lady of Guadalupe's feast day! Your photos are brilliant..and from some of my favorite places. I finally made it to Chimayo last October for the first time and it was breathtaking. It's been wonderful to see your offerings.

The stained glass window is glorious. I could bask in its light for hours, were I there. Alleluia!

Your photographs are lovely...as all your work is. And the Lady of Guadalupe is only slightly more famous...I admired your work for years...long before I realized you were she.
Happy, Happy Birthday♥
Happy, happy birthday, Laurie. You share it with someone super special but in the spiritual world, age differentials don't matter a bit. What a treasure trove of NM art, and around-the-world art that you have. Thanks for sharing these 12 days.
Beautiful! Images taken not too far from where I live...
Thank you for all that you've shared-you've helped to make it a remarkable journey! Thank you for sharing your images and stories. I am blessed.
